Experiences vs Stuff

Interesting research from Cornell University, shows that buying more stuff does not make us happy in the long run, but rather experiences do. I wouldn’t argue for buying more experiences it is better than buying more stuff as it is slightly highlighted in this article, but it is interesting to think about it when we talk about the accumulation of stuff and eventually production of waste. Here is the whole paper: “We’ll Always Have Paris: The Hedonic Payoff from Experiential and Material Investments” by Thomas Gilovich andAmit Kumar.
